On Thursday, March 16th 2017, Elizabeth Bailey and Sara Marx-Booth – Business Development Managers at EVS Translations US, attended the 8th Annual AmCham Germany Business Day at the Porsche Experience Center next to Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.

This year’s theme “Innovation Triangle: USA-GERMANY-ISRAEL” featured keynote speakers from the three leading countries regarding innovations, followed by panel discussions on topics of Cyber Security in Enterprises, as well as the Automotive Industry Current Trends and Entrepreneur Challenges, to highlight the possibilities of collaboration in terms of innovation.

To answer the challenge of finding and keeping talent, presentations were held by the Bridgehouse Law’s U.S.-German Internship Program, founded in 2009, and focused on internships for American students in German companies operating in different fields of the economy.

Visible from the conference area, the Porsche Test Track skid pan coupled with airport activity provided entertainment during the company speeches and panel discussions. Some of the German business visitors made the most of their stay in Atlanta by booking a Porsche test drive.

Elizabeth and Sara were pleasantly surprised to bump into EVS Translations USA’s Atlanta office building owner, Mr. Bowers, at the event, who ensured glasses and plates were always full at the evening meal. The dining experience took place in the Heritage Gallery room, alongside displays of pristine classic Porsche cars. Elizabeth made the acquaintance of the CEO of UPS Germany, as well as a local customer from the German American Trade Center, and other professionals.

The day closed with speeches given by American interns, from the U.S.-German Internship Program, to give a great perspective of German-American business culture relations.

As a leading international translation company with offices in Germany and the USA, EVS Translations supports and facilitates the exchange of new ideas and best practices between the two countries.
